Psychotherapy

Deciding to begin therapy is a highly personal decision that involves opening up about intimate details of your life. Sounds good, but it’s not always easy. I understand that no one knows better about their internal process than the people who seek therapy themselves. I respect this and know how important it is to create an atmosphere of trust and mutuality in order to move forward with the work you came to do. Basically, my approach emphasizes a reality-based narrative that is solution-focused and draws on cognitive behavioral techniques combined with client goal setting. However, when I work with you, I will adjust my treatment approach and also draw on different schools of thought and philosophies in accordance with your stated history, personal situation, and goals. I am optimistic by nature and, as a therapist, I am deeply interested and excited to discover your potential, define it in a realistic terms, enliven your life with these prospects, and work with you to achieve these ideas in a manifest way.
